T42 recovery CDs/XP bootable CD

#1 Post by efan » Sun Jan 16, 2005 12:46 pm

Hello,

I am thinking about repartition my new T42 to dual boot linux. I already made the 7 recovery discs which should return the T42 back to 'original state'.

The instruction I was reading goes on to talk about making XP bootable discs and copy C:\I386, C:\DRIVERS, C:\SUPPORT, and C:\VALUEADD...etc.

I want to keep the IBM service partion. and if I already have the recovery CD to rebuild my tp back to original state, why would I need to make the XP bootable CDs?

HELP!!!HELP!!!

thx

People want XP boot cd so that a clean XP install can be performed. If factory XP works for you then you don't need it.
