Hi,
I have a weird problem with my new T400. It's a 2764-CTO with T8600, 4GB (2x2 GB), 320GB WD Scorpio Black, 14.1 LED. No Turbo card. It's running Windows Vista Ultimate (I have Technet subscription) with SP1 fully patched and running the latest Lenovo drivers.
I run it on power most of the time, but just recently I've been on battery and trying to resume or startup I get blue screens (BSOD) once. It crashes once reaching the Vista logon screen but just before then you get onscreen corruption (mainly on the lower half of the LED) that looks like a graphics issues - but it happens if I have the Intel or ATI graphics set.
It happens from resuming from sleep and also from shutdown but only if on battery.
The most recent bugcheck was: 0x00000050 (0xfffffa80c029602b, 0x0000000000000000, 0xfffff80001f60988, 0x0000000000000005).
Ealier I had one 0x0000007e (0xffffffffc0000005, 0xfffffa6000913cc3, 0xfffffa60019f5588, 0xfffffa60019f4f60
After one Blue Screen the MS Memory test ran and found no issues. Also given where it happens I believe it is a driver/software issue.
I'm in the process of installing the MS Debugging tools to see if what they say.
Does anyone have any suggestions or help?
Thanks
Aaron

Re: T400 64-bit Vista SP1 - BSOD on Startup/Resume on battery
Hi Harry,
Apologies for the late response, I've been away on holidays.
No Turbo memory or USB storage installed.
I've run memtest with no errors.
If I boot in safe mode on battery it works fine, so obviously the most likely cause is a driver issue of some kind. I just can't isolate it.
I've updated all the drivers I can with no luck.
The system works fine when on mains power. I'm very happy with the configuration and am loathe to rebuild to Vista 32bit unless I have to.

Re: T400 64-bit Vista SP1 - BSOD on Startup/Resume on battery
Update
I've just put in a different hard disk and installed Vista Ultimate 32-bit and the Lenovo drivers. It too crashes when on battery.
I've also used the original Lenovo image that came with my system. Crashes when on battery.
The only thing I haven't done is a system restore. I will try that tonight.
It could well be a hardware issue but weird in that it only happens when on battery.
