Rescue and Recovery-Same Restore Disks on various Thinkpads

#1 Post by londonarnold » Sat Dec 27, 2008 10:53 am

Hello,

I have a set of restore Rescue & Recovery DVDs that I made from the rescue partition of my R60.

Does any one please know if the same set of disks will work properly on an R50, and maybe a T40 ?

No they won't. You're dealing with an entirely different chipset.

They might work, but you'll need quite a few updates/additions/changes...

Hope this helps.

I use my old T23 disks for everything, but first I download all the drivers for each computer expand them and burn them to a disk. I load the video drivers first.

No I don't. This is bad information I do something entirely different
