11P8350 LCD compatibility

#1 Post by ryan1212 » Mon Dec 29, 2008 5:11 pm

I have read that some of the t4x LCDs do work with the T60s. Can I put my T40 LCD FRU 11P8350 into a t60?

No, sorry - as discussed in the thread T60 LCD compatibility?. You need a T60 LCD for a T60 (i.e. a LCD with the correct FRU). Explanation = the EDID has to match that in the T60. Also, see T42 SXGA LCD in a T61? You might be able to reprogram the EDID in a T4x LCD and getting it to work in a T6x, but this require quite some effort...
