SL500 keyboard : "@" symbol not fucntioning

#1 Post by Gipiv » Tue Dec 30, 2008 6:06 am

Hi,
just got my SL500 up and running when I discovered that I couldn't make write the "@" symbol.
I think it's just that I cannot find the right combiation of keys. I tried the usual "Alt Gr" + "ç" key combinations but it did not work.
The key itself is working because I can access the other letters (ç,ò, & -).
Just to make things clear I am using an italian keyboard (IT) layout in XP.
Can somebody help me out?

Thanks
Gipiv

hi,
If you hae not found your solution yet then I have a little tips for you. I also use Swedish keyboard, therefore, I have to set my 'keyboard layout' as Swedish. I think you have your keyboard layout as US thats why you have problem getting @ symbol even while using altGr. Just go to the control panel, click language option and add your keyboard layout as Italian and make it default or simply select it from your status bar (when done) to make it effective. I hope this will solve your problem.

Hi,
thanks a million for replying. This was exactly the problem. I stumbled upon it only after a bit! It was so obvious and easy to solve that I hadn't thought about it.
Thanks again for the reply!
