Audio card broken

there is absolutely no sound from my T41. Not with Win XP or Xubuntu...or not with driver reinstalled. No sound from intenal speakers or headphone jacket.
So it seems it's a HW problem, with PCMCIA sound card it's working.

What could be the problem, is the power amplifier broken? Are both intenal spkr & headphones driven from same amp?
