The car accident update

#1 Post by jamerslong » Tue Jan 06, 2009 10:53 pm

I know I have been gone for a while, I had to sell my laptop while I was deployed last winter so I decided I should walk away until I came across another thinkpad and guess what.... I DID! but back on subject.....

so if anyone remembers that car accident I got into last year and/or wonders if i died in the sand box cause I vanished not long after I left for there.
Old topic
it was locked cause we were having an illegal? conversation

I am happy to report that my family and i have made a full recovery :)

my wife has regained full control of her hand, but suffered a nasty scar because of it.
my daughter never showed any real problems
and my back pain has fully subsided with months of Chiro

We settled with the insurance company after 14 Months for a grand total of $35,000
after the bills were paid back to the Government ($11,000) 2 new cars,a brand new Washer and dryer, my wifes replacement wedding ring, and various things around the house I am again broke. Wifes hand, Wifes money right(well thats how it ended up going)? :( (and no T42P dream machine) all I got out of it was a 1994 volvo 850 with a blown turbo. which I just sold because we got orders to England.(they told us 3 days after I went and bought a Midsized SUV, I wish they had told us earlier)

At least I have my T23 :)

im glad you and your family made a full recovery... that's most important!! money can be replaced but body parts can't (at least not yet/not easily).

England will still be there after your wife's pregnancy...the important thing is that the baby and mom are well after all is said and done...

Trust me, you want to be as close to home as possible if your wife's pregnancy is a high-risk one. Take it from a father of twins...that came out of one such pregnancy with a lot of stress involved...

Not that there's anything wrong with England or UK's health care system, I've lived there in the 80's and loved it, but still..

The best of luck to you guys...

Given that you have restrictions on military information and walls have ears ... where abouts in England are you? There are a few bases left here, one near Oxford. Anyway, enjoy your chance for a decent pint before they ship you somewhere where they chill their beer. :)

Unfortunately my move to england was canceled due to my wife having pregnancy complications :(

but i would have gone to RAF Mildenhal up around Suffolk, in the East Anglia area.

Good luck with the wife's complications and I hope everything works out OK.

Mildenhall is in Suffolk and the vast flat lands of East Anglia ... but not compared with the vast flatlands of the US. Suffolk has some beautiful villages and some very good beers. Adnams ales are well worth a taste.

All the best. :)
