Dud laptop fan but pleased with IBM/Lenovo service

#1 Post by Deadreckoning » Fri Jan 09, 2009 1:16 pm

Hi everyone, great forum I've learned a lot already.

I love my new x300 but I was disappointed when the fan broke in the first week. FYI the bios will prevent the laptop from booting.

However, the IBM/Lenovo service was great. They overnighted me a prepaid box, I shipped it and got the repaired laptop back in 2 days!

Being paranoid I bought a cheap replacement part on e-bay just in case the fan breaks again after the warranty expires.
