S10 no longer offers "high capacity" Black?

#1 Post by Cunha » Sun Jan 11, 2009 3:23 pm

It seems like lenovo dropped the high capacity black model of the S10? Maybe a way to mask the extra cost of the various colors?

Very apple of them. It would have been okay if they did it right from the get go - it is a shame they didn't because now I feel cheapened.

I have been contemplating either buying the low end 350 dollar black and upgrading the ram and hard drive, or buying the higher end black and just leaving it as is. Now I dont have a choice. Strange.

Maybe they just ran out of the color, it is probably popular. They often drop products and features due to no short term availability from the factory. It would not surprise me to see it reappear in a few weeks.

Lenovo has lots of problems with their website. If something is missing always check again later in the day. There appear to be plenty of S10 Hi Cap Blacks available.

Is this what you're looking for : http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/cont ... 276072AD8C

He's one at Newegg for $20 less: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6834146496

No actually you didn't jump the gun, as that listing only lasted for a few days. I went back to buy one today and it was listed as "deactivated".

Oh well, thankfully I got at least one before they were gone. I've been having so much fun with these that I've setup one for each family member. In addition, I'm finding these so much fun to upgrade, so relatively inexpensive, that I wanted "just one more".....heh! Reminds me of eating potato chips... hard to stop..... :P

 Agreed. S10's are as addictive as potato chips.
560, 560, 560, (all in various stages of completion/possession of a screen) 600E that's pretty dead, and a spiffy new X61 Tablet.
