ThinkPad logo stickers

Hello,

I have a T60 with the old IBM ThinkPad stickers on the outside of the LCD lid and on the palmrest. I see that one can easily buy these stickers on eBay and they come in both old IBM style and new, with the big ThinkPad logo.

So I was wondering if there is a difference in dimensions between the old and new style logos. Can I buy a new style ones and just replace them?

New "ThinkPad T series" logo and old "IBM ThinkPad" logo are of the same size. Buy with confidence.

BTW, most people here seem to prefer the old logo.

I'm also not sure which ones I like better. I might just buy them since they are dirt cheap and decide after I have a chance to see them on my ThinkPad.

Pay attention to the following:

The "Thinkpad T/R Series" and the "IBM Thinkpad" stickers are indeed the same size and interchangeable. However these stickers were only used on T6x/R6x.

The new T/Rx00 models come with just "Thinkpad", and this sticker is not the same size/shape. It is just a rectangular sticker which is not interchangeable with any of the old stickers.

Also note, that the stickers for the X series and the docking stations are also different (i.e. "IBM Thinkpad" is not interchangeable between an X-series and a T-series).

New versions of the docking stations, even those for T6x/R6x/Z6x also come with the rectangular "Thinkpad" sticker, which is not interchangeable with old "IBM Thinkpad" stickers.

I see.

I just bought these "ThinkPad Tseries" stickers. The auction says it fits all ThinkPads from T2x to T6x so it should be ok.
