Well, to answer your question, YES!
SSD harddrives are the next big thing, and the ThinkPads are NOT left behind.

I believe this is the official new versions of the harddrives, enjoy :)

Err...

That drive is a SATA drive and will only work in the T43 if you are using a ultrabay SATA HD adapter.
Note:
The ThinkPad 64GB Solid State Drive (SSD) option is supported only on selected ThinkPad systems. Also, the 40Y8725 ThinkPad Serial ATA Hard Drive Bay Adapter is not supported for usage with the 43N3400 ThinkPad 64GB Solid State Drive.

Hi,

The link provided in the above posts is indeed for a SATA SSD drive, since the T43p has IDE interface, you would need to search for a SSD with IDE interface, and although expensive, they are nearly easier to find than fast (7200rpm) harddrives with that interface. I don't think lenovo supports or provides one as an option, so if you will install a different brand drive, be aware that you will get a message at boot-up that you are not running with an officially supported Lenovo drive, as it is a T43 series PC after all, and they have that problem (see several discussions elsewhere on this forum).
