Rescue and Recovery problem with Vista's indexing

#1 Post by m3rlinez » Sat Jan 17, 2009 11:53 am

Hi, everyone

I tried searching everywhere but there seems to be no answer for me ..

What I want to do is to stop Windows Vista from indexing my "Users" folder so my machine will get faster. I try to disable the "Users" folder indexing by configuring Vista's "Indexing Options" as many sites suggest. But, unfortunately, my "Users" is not shown up and the last folder listed under "C:" drive is "Python25".

After confirmed the behavior by creating new folder named "Pzzz" and check the folder listed in "Indexing Options" again, I found that the newly created folder is also in the list. So I think it is the problem with Rescue and Recovery's RRBackups folder since only folders preceding it in alphabetical order are shown up.

Is there any way to fix this ? I don't want to uninstall Rescue and Recovery and I want Windows Vista to index certain locations on my drive, but not on the "Users" folder.

Thank you.
