i am the first!!!! yesssssss

from ibm-site:

price for the new T43 for two modells:

187186U for 2299 $
18714BU for 2283 $

but when we can get them... :-(

Expensive!! The 2668-4EU (Same thing as the 1871-4BU but with SXGA+ and ATI X300 M22) will probably go for 2800-2900$...

a T43p wit 14.1" and X600 doesn't exist?

edit: just found the pdf...seems that IBM doesn't list every modell on the page.

DDR2. It's actually not all that exciting. 533 MHz x 8 bytes/clock is about 4200MB/sec.

This might seem a lot faster than PC2700, but in actual use I think it is only marginally faster. Latencies on DDR2 memory are pretty high. A 4-4-4 DDR2 at 533 MHz is worse than 400 MHz DDR, though probably the same or better than 333 MHz DDR.

The real advantage in DDR2 is much lower voltage and hence low power consumption.
