x60,x61 lcd screens

Hi,
I have a X60 with a cracked screen and have the chance to buy a X61 screen relatively cheap. Are the two screens compatable please?. My X60 is type 1706-CTO. Thanks

No need for translation...

X60 and X61 units can use the same LCD panel.

I am selling a Boe-Hydis SXGA LCD screen (this is the panel that IBM/Lenovo uses). PM me if you want details. I will put it in classifieds section when I have time.

Does anybody know if any of the following laptop LCD screens are compatable with an X60 please?.

Compaq/HP NC400,NC4010

Dell D400,D410,X300

Apple Power Book G4

Advent 7053(E12B)

Cheep X60 screens seem to be hard to come by so opening up my options would certainly help

The general rule is don't buy a non-Lenovo LCD FRU or else the machine will not recognize it.
Try bidding on something like this. You might get lucky. Try their (Synaptic Systems) EBay store too.

Thanks for the link Harry, I'm in the UK so the $40 P+P is a bit of a killer, but I might have to bite the bullet and go for it, I'll see how the bidding goes.

Hi. I have just replaced the LCD on a x60 (1709) with a screen from a HP NC4010. So it is compatible/equivalent, and does not create any problem. It is as bright, and has the same resoultion.
