When I first made recovery CDs for my W500, it gave me the option of reclaiming the Lenovo Q partition. I also thought I could do that when I double-clicked on the drive. Now, however, I am not presented with that option and I can't seem to figure out if there is a clean way to reclaim that space (I thought I once saw an option in Rescue and Recovery but can't find that now).
Is there any benefit to trying to do it through a Lenovo utility rather than a partition manager? I would just like to add that space back to the C drive.
Thanks!

Reclaim or delete Lenovo Q partition?
Re: Reclaim or delete Lenovo Q partition?
Why bother? On my W500 it is about 5GB. If I am within 5GB of running out of disk space - it's time to get a twice-as-big drive and replace the old one.
On my 160GB drive - it is 3% of the space. I can afford 3% to keep a recovery partition.
People spend too much time micromanaging disk space. For most people who can afford a W500 (i.e. Those who use it for work) - an extra $100 to switch to a 320GB or 500GB drive is no big deal.

Re: Reclaim or delete Lenovo Q partition?
I wiped mine (320gb HD with plenty of free space) because I'm running a different OS and have no use for the preinstalled Vista Basic (cheapest option, only bought because PC-Dos wasn't an option when I ordered, although it was for a while).
