Any XTML PHP CSS programmers? My website is sick

#1 Post by TomKroscavage » Sat Jan 24, 2009 9:50 pm

My website is hopelessly messed up, and losing page rank. I moved my wordpress blog from a subfolder to the root directory. I moved my static HTML pages into /pages/ folder I added a home.php file to my current theme directory. My long term goal is to move all of my site into wordpress. I have a basic understanding of the markup codes. Is there was way to step through the code like you could in QuickBasic? How can I troubleshoot my website?

I moved my static HTML pages into /pages/
If you do that, you have to change the path in all other pages that link to these "moved" pages.

In a case like that, you first COPY your pages, than go through all the source pages to change the path where required.

An immediate solution would be to COPY those pages back from /pages/ to where they came from, and then start modifying as described above.
