FS: Cheap 570/E & 600/E/X UltraSlimBay Second HDD Adapter

For some time, I have been watching out for a genuine, IBM-branded "ThinkPad 2nd Hard Drive Adapter for Ultrabay Slim" for use in a T42 (this part having P/N 62P4554 or 62P4552 and FRU 62P4553) and then, finally I won on eBay recently. The seller however sent what turned out to be an IBM P/N 05K5336 or 05K5337 and FRU 05K5338 which is a ThinkPad UltraSlimBay Second HDD Adapter which is usable for ThinkPad’s of the 570/E and 600/E/X series. The part has been used and it has a few minor scratches on it - nothing big. Since this 570/600 UltraBay adapter has the following dimensions: Height: 0.52” (13.2 mm), Width: 5.16” (131.2 mm), Depth: 5.66” (143.8 mm) and while - in comparison - the T42 62P4554 is specified on T42/p ThinkPad 2nd Hard Drive Adapter for Ultrabay Slim P/N 62P4554 (pointing to ThinkPad 2nd Hard Drive Adapter for Ultrabay Slim - Overview) has the following dimensions: Height: 0.38” (9.7 mm), Width: 5.13” (130.4 mm) and Depth: 5.68” (144.3 mm) these two parts are completely different and in no way interchangeable… The seller doesn't reply to my question about how to solve this issue, and I really don't want to go through filing (although surely winning) a dispute via eBay/PayPal, so I offer the part here, for free.

Bottom line is that I have no use for the this 570/E, 600/E/X "ThinkPad 2nd Hard Drive Adapter for Ultrabay Slim", so if any forum-member wants it, it is your for the cost of the postage. Item ships (worldwide) from a forum-friend in Guernsey, WY (zip 82214); please figure out the postage yourself (e.g. see USPS) and perhaps consider adding a few bucks for gasoline – I will leave this up to you. Payment via PayPal.

PS: If anybody would happen to have a T42/p ThinkPad 2nd Hard Drive Adapter for Ultrabay Slim P/N 62P4554 for sale, please let me know!

Bottom line? Always such a pleasure to bump into a genuine English gentleman - actually I almost tend to forgive that your famous Admiral Nelson sunk the entire highly honorable Danish Naval Fleet, back in 1801!
