Integraphic only on a T400 with wxga+

#1 Post by T400plus » Tue Jan 27, 2009 7:25 am

I tried setting the bios to integrated grahpics only in the display options(bios).
When xp boots i got all sort of abuses from a ATI driver. why?.
I wanted to try integrated only to see if the discrete graphics options uses so
much power or is it just a marketing ploy by laptop vendors... :o
Does integrated graphics support xga+ resolution.

The driver might be crying because the hardware isn't "present".

Audio: Conexant CX20561 (192 kHz, 24-bit)
Video: Intel GMA 4500MHD
Wireless: Intel 5300

I was considering doing the same thing, for the same thing. But, I was fearful that it might cause some problem such as you describe. If you are successful in resolving this issue, please post something to let the rest of us know how you did it.
