A22p 15" UXGA screen onto a G40?

#1 Post by cliddell » Tue Jan 27, 2009 10:49 am

Greetings all

I have an opportunity to buy a defective A22P for a silly price. It has a working 15" UXGA monitor fitted. I was wondering if it would be possible to fit this onto my beloved G40 (2388-3SG since you ask). I was wondering about compatibility of connectors etc. Also, assuming such a transplant is possible, would the Intel Extreme Graphics 82852 / 82855 (Windows won't be more specific) be capable of deriving the screen at its native resolution?

Many thanks in advance for your help.
G40 - P4 2.4 GHz, 1.5 GB RAM, 40 GB HDD
G40 currently 2.66 GHz Celeron in throes oof upgrading.

Well, you'll have an issue with the LCD cable, since no G4x unit offered UXGA resolution, so I can tell you that it won't work...
