FS: HP Business nc8230 laptop (or trade?)
Alright, I know this is sacrilegious putting a non-Thinkpad up for sale, but this machine lives up to Thinkpad quality (as I'm sure nc2400 owners can testify to). It is probably a direct comparison to a Z60m and actually feels nicer and more solid than my Z61t.
Specifications:
15.4" WSXGA+ (1680x1050) LCD - Matte
Intel Pentium M 1.86GHz CPU - Dothan
1GB DDR2 RAM (2x512)
160GB 5400RPM Hard Drive
ATI Radeon X600 128MB GPU
DVD/CD-RW Combo Drive
Intel 2200BG Wireless
Bluetooth
Broadcoam NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet
Brand new Genuine HP 8-cell battery
SD Card Reader
Ports: 3x USB2, Firewire, VGA, Serial, S-Video Out, Audio In/Out, Ethernet, Modem, PCMCIA
Trackpad + Trackpoint
Installed with Windows XP Pro SP3 (COA on bottom)
Cosmetically I'd say its a 9.4/10.0 with no obvious problems (light scratching on the cover). It comes with a 3rd party power adapter.
Price is $350 (from $400) shipped to CONUS. International shipping available at extra cost. Payment by paypal.

Re: FS: HP Business nc8230 laptop
My nw8240 is very similar to this example (slightly more workstation oriented than the nc8230 though) and it is a marvellous machine. Having owned a Z60m, I would say that these HP machines are very comparable to Z60m machines in terms of size and build quality. A good one to look at if you're curious about seeing what other manufacturers had to offer while the T43 was still brand new

I personally use a 6910p from HP (which is this ones big newer brother) and it is a marvelous unit. HP's business line is rock solid I must say. The build quality is on par but better than a Z61/Z60.

Is WSXGA+ 1680 x 1050 ?
In any case it sounds like a nice machine.

I'd be interested in trading for a Z60t with a 14.1" WXGA screen (or HP equivalent). Long story short the person this machine was intended for found the screen too high resolution.
