T41 & T42 Parts - MOBO and other parts

Hi,

I was hoping someone maybe able help w/ a question about T41 and T42 parts.

I have a have a T41 that I think has a motherboard issue, and I just purchased a refurb T42.

I was told T41 and T42 have interchangeable.

My questions are:

What are the main differences between the two models?

Do they have the same motherboard?

I see the graphic chip is a higher end chip in the T42. If I put that in the T41 do I have the potential of a heating issue or an issue w/ power because of a MOBO setup.

T41 and T42 are interchangeable almost completely. The higher end GPU such as Radeon 9000, 9600 use the long fans while Radeon 7500 use the short fan.

Most of the 400Mhz FSB Bania and Dothan CPUs will operate between 40-50 deg C when the Power Manager CPU performance is set to "Adaptive".
