I've poked around the forum and I'm still a little confused about this.
I understand that you don't NEED WWAN Broadband access to use the GPS on a x200-- I have microsoft MapPoint already.
However when I try to install thinkvantage GPS, it says I don't have the device. Am I to understand you need the WWAN (with or without access) to even have the GPS option?

Re: X200 GPS
You need the WWAN feature to get GPS. For Verizon cards at least, you do not have to activate the service through Verizon to get it to work, but you do need the card. I can't talk to AT&T cards, you may have to activate those.
