F11 option

Hi - I have the following problem with a T30
When I bought it from Ebay it had no hard drive but when you tried to boot I had the 3 options - F1 to enter BIOS,F11 to enter IBM recovery and F12 for temp boot device.
Since installing a hard drive, loading the T30 recovery discs (3) and upgrading to the latest BIOS and embedded controller I have lost the F11 option.
How do I get this back? do I need to get it back?
any advice greatfully received

You set those prompts in the BIOS.

Startup> Select the prompts you want to enable.
