I'm thinking about replacing my current cell and am looking at the LG Dare (I'm with Verizon and won't be switching to another carrier). I've read reviews and watched videos online, also looked at it in the store but hope some folks here have hands-on experience. Call quality, signal strength and battery life are most important. I don't plan to use the camera or music player that much. Please tell me the good, bad and ugly from your perspective. If you have an alternative, I'd like to hear that, too. TIA!

Re: Calling all LG Dare users
I've been using my dare now for about 2 weeks or so. This is my first touch screen phone so Im pretty pleased with the touch functions of the phone. The phone is decent in my opinion. A couple things I dont like about the phone, the ringer vibrate is pretty weak. I wear the phone on my hip and i can't barely feel it vibrate my hip. Sometime's you have to hit a button a couple times for it to recognize. It does store quite a bit of texts which i like. I like the favorites function on the main screen too because it allows you to store 9 contacts there with quick functions to text and call them. It does take pretty good pictures and it does have bluetooth stereo. Makes decent calls, service is as good as my old vx8700 and no worse than my trusty old v710, which is a compliment. Battery life isn't phenomenal, but im still in discovery mode with the phone so im constantly playing with the phone. I make and receive probably 30 calls or so a day and probably 25 to 30 texts a day and the battery would last at least 2 days with that usage. If you were to have or upgrade to a full data package I would get an Omnia. It has got terrific reviews and seems to me like an awesome phone, but if you dont wanna go full data than the Dare is a nice phone too.

Much obliged for the helpful info. You seem to use your phone more than I use mine, so the battery life will probably be sufficient. Any other experienced users?
