They are reusable with care (IBM says use a new screw kit every time). Take a very sharp, thin knife, slip it under one corner (gently), lift gently and remove. I place them on a piece of paper sticky side up (sometimes takes another small knife to lay it down without picking it up). Some techs will stick them gently onto something else. Done this way, they are reusable. I have removed mine twice (wireless NIC, CPU) and they are still stuck on firmly. ... JD Hurst

Ditto, I did exactly the same thing (sharp knife, carefully laid down on sticky-side-up on a sheet of paper). They're back on and haven't fallen off yet!

You can also place them sticky side down on waxed paper.

They won't blow away or fall off and can be easily peeled off anytime.

I've had mine off a 1/2 dozen times now.

Ditto and honestly it doesn't hurt the aesthetic all that much to have them off. I have, on multiple occasions, forgotten to put them back on and it takes me a good long time to notice. Usually I find the stickers laying on the the desk before I notice them missing from the laptop. :)
