FS / FT: IBM PowerPC RS/6000 860 TYPE 7249

Hello All,

I'm looking to sell / trade a IBM PowerPC RS/6000 860 TYPE 7249.

The 860 comes with the AC adapter, mouse, external SCSI floppy drive, network adapter, and mil-spec hard shipping case. The laptop powers up to the AIX login screen. I do not have the AIX log/password so I could not test the laptop past the built-in diagnostics accessed from the BIOS. It passes all the built-in diagnostics.

The laptop comes with CDROM (84G4538), 1.2GB HDD (30H1471), two 32MB DRAM cards (92G7282), battery (85G2677), and Ethernet II card (42H4916).

This laptop DOES NOT have the camera built-in to the top of the LCD.

The laptop is in good condition, no major scratches or scuffs. Looks like it was on someone's desk and never traveled.

The known issues: the battery is dead and will not take a charge, the LCD has a small bit of travel (maybe the hinges could be tightened up?), the plastic covers for the rear ports and the side SCSI port are missing. The last thing is that the previous owner had glued a security cable attachement point to the LCD cover. I have not tried to remove it.

Shipping info: 21LBS, box size 18x18x10, from zip 22015. I would perfer to ship only within the US.

For Trade, I'd like a ThinkPad T41, something like a 2373-w41 or better.
