I have a T60 2613-CTO with ATI X1300 which suddenly doesn't display anything out of the VGA port. It was working fine for over a year.
This is not a software problem (I've tried booting with VGA, reinstalled windows). I tried to attach the monitor to the essential port replicator's VGA port but the external CRT monitor keeps saying "out of scan range" and doesn't display anything. For a few times I've gotten a distorted picture to the external monitor for just a second but the colors were really wrong and the monitor turns itself off instantly after 1 sec.
Everything works fine with another T61, which I can also test, so the monitor is fine and the so is the port replicator.
At first, I thought it may be a loose VGA port but I can't get a picture through the port replicator as well.
Any ideas?

Re: T60 no VGA output (likely hardware problem)
Does pressing Fn-F7 work properly (bring up the presentation manager menu)? I had an issue when I updated to the latest one where Fn-F7 stopped doing anything, and I could not get any external output. However, when I went into the Presentaiton manager & changed the Fn-F7 settings to just turn the external output on/off, it worked.
The only way I was able to get it all working again was with a clean install of Windows...in which I downloaded all Lenovo drivers & software, and installed each one-at-a-time. I did NOT install System Update this time, and Presentation Manager was the LAST thing I installed.

Re: T60 no VGA output (likely hardware problem)
I have FN+F7 set up as a switch between display modes. This works in BIOS too.
I managed to get a really bad quality picture (wrong colors and with a lot of noise) through the docking station. I could see 20 displaced mouse poiters and every time I moved the pointer the external display would flick.
Something must be wrong with the hardware. I re-soldered the VGA port but nothing changed.

I have the same problem on my T60p. it just suddenly decided not to project, but it still can detect an attached external monitor. The external monitor just says entering power save mode. Tried every software solution I can think, including replacing OS, video driver, wireless driver, running all kinds of lenovo tests. What's going on?

Most likely it's broken. So you have to send it back to Lenovo for repairs.
I just got mine back with this exact problem.
LCD wasn't working and when connected to video projector, I get fuzzy
image and then it just shuts down (projector).
Got motherboard replaced and now it's working fine again.
