x200 ultrabase error

x200 ultrabase error

Hi everyone,

i've been going through the forum on several occasion, first for my x21, then my t60, it's always been really helpfull.

I bought recently a x200 along with an ultrabase, i received it on monday and so far i've been amazed by the product as always.

But (yeah there is a but), now the ultrabase doesnt seems to be working anymore, whenever i plug the laptop on it it just shut itself down (even if the laptop is up and running).

details : i can see the green light on the left of the ultrabase (which turn off when i push power or plug the laptop)

i basically tried to find a way around this (read: tried my best to test with different settings, to see if it wasnt a fault from my side ) but I still have no clues about what's going on.

any idea before i call customer service to sse if has already happen and if they have a solution ?
(protip, i'm in france, and yes i'm french, it might be why my english isn't that good :) )

news: seems to be the optical drive, they're sending in a new one as I might not be the only one it happened to. problem solved, if your ultrabase is down, it must be the optical drive.
