When will Lenovo update the X301 ? new processor or what?

#1 Post by ThinkP » Fri Feb 13, 2009 12:13 pm

Any idea when they will update the x301 ? x302 ? or whatever they call it.

I just find the 1.4ghz seem a little underpowered. It's a great laptop and I don't have one to test but I just feel it would be great if it was a 1.86 or 2.0ghz

Any rumours or spy photos going around in china? lol

when would be the next update cycle seeing as they are offering lots of deals on them right now...big discounts. Maybe a faster model is around the corner?

well I'm answering my own questions. lol

I found there's already a faster version of the SU series of intel chips. SU9600 and Sony seems to be the first to jump on the wagon but have not officially announced it.

I found their Vaio TT is up with the new processor on several retail sites for pre-order like Amazon

I still would prefer an SL series processor in the x301/302 for higher processing speed, L2 cache and FSB without altering the weight/thinness.

Then it would be a kick [censored] ultraportable.

I think the idea is that a ULV will have far superior battery life to a processor w/ regular voltage.

L2 cache also eats up a lot of battery life...
