more USB ports for T41?

OK, this may be a stupid question, but..
Is there any thrifty device that can install in the T41 PC card slot, or on the parallel port, that results in another generic USB 2.0 connector?. (Are USB-to-parallel adapters wired for printer signals only? and/or the USB end is wrong gender?) It'd be handy (at home, at least) to make the sturdy parallel port USB-useful.

Or, if not USB, then flash card slots (CF,SD) in PC card bay?

The pc card usb adapters typically cost $20. Of course, you can probably find a hub for cheaper.

Admittedly, my OP was a bit lame, and you are correct.
...I was just checking a) if the parallel port could be put to any 'current tech' use [no, not really], and b) if that empty Type III PC card (PCMCIA) space could provide 1 or 2 USB ports, inside the PC card slot, thus not need to carry a hub.

Regarding non-AC powered hubs, how many USB ports is too many to work with a T41 on battery power?
