Updates from IBM

#1 Post by hkhalil » Sat Jan 22, 2005 9:56 pm

What do you find the best way of keeping your Thinkpad up-to-date ?

The Windows Update type program (IBM Update Connector) that shipped with my X31 never seems to be accurate. I don't know if this can be solved.

I just check back on the IBM website every so often to see what's new and updated.

Is there an easier way ?

Many thanks :)

I just check the website like you. There were a large number of updates when SP2 came out, but that has slowed down, and the process is manageable. ... JD Hurst

I've been using the below free service for years without errors or drawbacks:

You're welcome, yah, it's great...Image

No need to remember to keep checking for updates. I use it to keep all my stuff current, all that don't have their own built-in ability that is.
