#1 Post by tonn » Sun Feb 15, 2009 6:59 am

Hy,
I have a vista and ubuntu in multibuut. When i installed ubuntu inside the windows then ubuntu installion tells me that when you install two os in multibuut, you cant hibernate in windows. But i want to know is there any option do work this problem around? Because if battery goes empty, i dont want to loose my work!

Just to be clear you installed Ubuntu in Windows using Wubi? If so then there is no support for hibernation (There may be a hack but I'm not sure...maybe ask on the Ubuntu forums?). If you decide to remove Wubi/Ubuntu and install Ubuntu as a separate OS in a dual-boot situation then you can use hibernation. Windows will use the paging file on its partition and Ubuntu will use the swap space you create at installation.
