Turning any notebook / pc into a tablet...

#1 Post by mazzinia » Sun Feb 15, 2009 7:33 pm

Hi,

don't know if this is the right section to write this, but I've found this by chance

http://www.penandfree.com/

Apparently can turn any notebook into a tablet, any monitor too.. even a desk...
There are videos on YouTube.

Yeah, nice one.

This again made me a proud owner of a ThinkPad after I saw this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qWZJrstIems

Look, he has to hold the screen with his other hand to stop it from bouncing every time he touches it with the pen.
;)

But seriously, I wonder if this isn't really a problem. Maybe the receiver is heavy?

BTW, that reminds what W700 is probably *missing* (other than an IPS panel :D) - touch or even multitouch screen (despite the Wacom). No Wacom digitizer can replace doing some "art" on a 17'' screen (especially considering the upcoming WIn 7)... What is more, this screen would be on a mobile workstation...

EDIT: Ha, this coincides somewhat with the post of yak... :D

... and here some related video as to how this tool works in real life (I like the table tennis part :D)

Cheers,
