Nic and Audio Driver for a T61 Model 7661-A12

I can't seem to find anything that will get the Nic and Sound working.. I"m using Iatkos 4i.

I think the T61 has the AD1984 HD audio chip on it, see if you can find kexts for those - maybe iatkos might supply drivers during install (look for additional componets that you can select to install). On my T60p I got audio working by installing Aazilla Audio and... i think AC97 (I was using Leo4All).


As for the NIC: you're talking about wired (LAN) right? Normally that should be working out of the box, but see if you can find any install options/kexts for the Intel PRO/1000 MT Mobile Ethernet driver.

If you mean wireless (WLAN), then unless you've got an atheros chipset you're out of luck, for now.

I can't really offer much more since I've never used that distro nor am I using OSX at the moment.

Thanks for the response.. I got the Nic working. The only issue that's kicking my butt is the Audio.

The device is: Intel 82801H Device 8086:284b

I cannot find a working kext on this audio to save my life!

I got it.. Turned out you have to delete the AppleHDA.kext, AppleAzaliaAudio.kext & the AppleAC97Audio kext.

The install a kext called AzaliaTurboTP1984.kext

Ha! I think those are the ones I had installed - my sound was working. Must be due to the audio chipset differences.

Anyways I'm glad you got everything working, hf with OSX! Oh and thanks for providing links, I'm sure someone will find them useful.

On my T61 (6466-5VG) I have installed iPC 10.5.6 with EFI and vanilla kernel.
So far I have managed to get internal speakers, Headphone-, SPDIF-out and external mic input working.
Still missing is the internal mic and so far I simply can not understand the reason behind it.
