X31 vs. X40 speed

Hi,

While I know that there have been debates on this in the past, I'm considering buying an X40, and I'm wondering about the difference in speed between this machine and the X31 we have (with the standard factory issue 20GB HD). Is the difference in speed between these two really noticeable?

not that I can tell. I have both.

I gave my X40 to my dad. I much prefer my old X31. It has always been faster and feels more rugged.
