How can I get Windows XP for my X200 Tablet?

#1 Post by epu » Mon Feb 23, 2009 7:10 pm

Everytime I've purchased a Thinkpad, its come with Windows XP Pro. This includes my old X61 Tablet. This brand new X200 didn't come with downgrade XP discs, instead coming with Windows Vista Ultimate. Does Lenovo provide a downloadable image of the X200 Tablet with XP, or do I have to purchase this from them? Can anyone provide me with some more information? I still have my old X61 (Not Tablet, I've owned both) downgrade discs.

Mod edit - I deleted your other thread on the same topic. We do not allow duplicate (cross) posting on the forums.

AFAIK, Lenovo doesn´t provide "downloadable image" of any OS. However, you can purchase Windows XP tablet edition downgrade/restore CDs which will install the corresponding Lenovo preload image on your X200t.
