Display Question on New T400

#1 Post by dlai » Wed Feb 25, 2009 1:18 am

My wife purchased a new T400 with the 14.1 WXGA TFT 1280x800 display with CCFL Backlight to replace her T42 with the 14.1 TFT 1024x768 (ATI Radeon Mobility 7500 card). She received it today and is complaining that the fonts while using the browser is too small, making her nauseous when compared to her T42. I set the display setting on the T400 to 1024x768 but it comes out blurry and does not match the display sharpness of her T42. Also, while looking at the front page on the Bloomberg webpage, the T42 uses the entire screen while the T400 is compressed and leaves some black space on the right side of the webpage. Does anyone have any idea on whether or not I can adjust her T400 display to match what she has on her T42?

She's not happy and I'm not sure if one can return the T400 to Lenovo for such an issue. Ideas? Thoughts?

Thanks.

Have you tried to change DPI setting in personalise section?

Changing font to 125% upscaling ought to do it nicely.
