Burn CDs

#1 Post by Meta03 » Thu Feb 26, 2009 8:57 am

What is a good program to use for burning music CDs, backing up files unto CDs and DVDs?
I use a Thinkpad T43 with Windows XP.

I use Nero 8, it has always been rock-solid for me, but it is not free. ImgBurn is also similar piece of software and highly recommended by many folks and it´s free.

+1 for imgburn.

Only problem is that if you have two drives and just want to copy a disc (or if you have one drive and just want to copy a disc) you have you create the image first then manually select to burn it - other programs I've used would automatically burn the disc after writing the image (unless you selected to write an image only, of course).

I use RecordNow that came pre-installed with the software on my T43. It works OK for me.

Regarding your question about Freshman; just wait until you have a few more posts to your name and then you become a Sophomore ... whatever that is! :?
Best to ignore it, matey.

According to wiki Sophomore is:
Sophomore is a term used in the United States to describe a student in the second year of study (generally referring to high school or university study)[1][2]. The word is also sometimes used in the USA as jargon for the second album released by a musician or group, the second movie of a director, or the second season of a professional athlete.

Don´t forget to make note of the 250 post event in the proper place :P

Thanks, RBS. I think that explanation will be helpful to all users of this forum who are unfamiliar with US terminology. :)
