Yeah, it´s hard for me to understand what´s so funny about destroying a classic ThinkPad too, on the top of that he even made a video on youtube about this...

After all of that, at least one hinge stayed intact, and the other hinge stayed intact until the shovel came out, but survived a hatchet.

Why anyone would do something like this I don't know. Here's another one with a newer model:

There is either an epidemy for destroying ThinkPads or these are some odd forms of advertising ThinkPad robustness...

I am usually not familiar with these vintage Thinkpads but I happen to have a 365X which looks almost identical to this one, except that this one has a CD drive (instead of the 365X's floppy drive). So, I believe this is the 365XD.

My 365X is ugly as hell and has a defective LCD, so I am really tempted to beat it up like those kids beat up their 365XD!

EDIT: Ooops, the screen of this Thinkpads is more offset to the left than my 365X's, so I Googled up photos of other 3** series Thinkpads and concluded that it's most likely the 365ED.

If you find it so ugly, why did you obtain it at all? :) Please don´t beat it up like in the videos, this machine could be useful to others, even only in form of parts...

I'm really disappointed....

And there are 2 reasons for that:

1. Thinkpad is in working condition (he/she could donate that)...

2. Use real explosives if you want to blow up things...

this wasn't blowing up of a thinkpad. it was a primitive cannibalism. anybody can do that, even a monkey can take a hammer and smash things apart. if you are going to blow up a thinkpad at least do it with real explosives.

Looks to me like this could be one of those "Real Men of Genius" guys. "Here's to you Mr. I'm-too-spoiled-to-know-quality-vintage-electronics-when-I-see-them. You're not able to saw properly. You have the need to use the saw backwards, and like a hammer. ~~He's banging at the screeeee--eeeen~~ ..."

they should have given those thinkpads to me instead of destroying them. I derive enjoyment from tinkering w/ old computers! :(

It's a ThinkPad 365 series. The CD bezel had a cut out on the 755CD and the laptop is obviously not a 760.
