TPfancontrol for X301

#1 Post by Rundelight » Mon Mar 02, 2009 3:20 pm

Anyone out there who has sucessfully installed TPfancontrol on a X301.

I have tried but the various fan speeds 1, 2...7 all result in a fan speed of 1900 rpm which is max speed.

Also if I tru to make a smart profile the fan never kick in but remain off.

The fan is somewhat annoying more less always on

Regards

Tpfancontrol works with x300 and x200s as mentioned by others in this forum. It works with x301 as mentioned from users in other forums. Which version of TPFanControl do you use? Which operation system do you use? There is also a TP Fan Control version for Windows Vista, which let this small program run as a "service".

I am running on a XP Professional and I have installed V0.55.

The program installs okay, I can see temperature on various components on the board, I can also see the fan RPM.

However the fan does not change speed when I apply a manual level of the fan between 1 to 7 always run with 1900rpm

When I go to Smart setting it always turns off the fan completely even when temp goes above the level where it should kick in

Regards
