X300 not recognising AC power

#1 Post by perplex » Mon Mar 02, 2009 3:27 pm

Hi,

Last night my X300 for some reason stopped recognising AC power so the batteries ran down and my Thinkpad died. Then in the morning it was the same, no power, but after a few minutes it started charging.

Later today, I unplugged it and set it to sleep and went to a different location and when I got there and plugged it in, the AC power wouldn't register.

I'm currently typing while my battery drains down with uncertainty about whether it'll magically start charging again in the morning :( .

Has anyone had a similar problem and know a solution?

Thanks

-------

It seems it was the power charger afterall.

Measure the voltage output at the tip of the AC adapters cord with a multimeter. You should see 19vDC
