desktop ?: mutliple (3) hard drive help

i dont use my desktop much so im looking to make a file server/ if i dont wanna use my x31 computer.

my motherboard has 3 ide connections.

ide 1: 2 hard drives
ide 2: 2 cd drive
ide 3: optional

this is what i wanna do but im not sure how with the jumpers..

all the drives are 7200 rpm, ide drives, so sata/raid is not a possibility.

i have a 30gb that i wanna use for the os and the other 2 drives (80 & 120) for storage.

**********if i connect the 30 to ide 1 and then use the 2 others on ide3 how do i set the jumpers on the 2 storage drives?************
and would the 30 just stay as a master?

Master and Slave on IDE3 and yes the 30GB will be set as Master on IDE1.

i got the computer running and i hooked up the 2 storage drives into ide3

there is allready data on the drives.

when i boot it asks for me to set up an arrary. WILL I LOSE MY DATA?

where do i go from here, im kinda lost, i though it would just boot and give me 2 more drive options

it booted up but it does not show teh other 2 drives that are hooked into ide3, i have also tried 2 drives on ide1 and 1 on ide3 but it still will not see the drive on ide3

also after reading i can only have 1 drive on ide3 (unless when u raid it makes it view as 1 large drive)
