How to configure boot from CD
Re: How to configure boot from CD
Put the CD-ROM device as first device in the boot sequence. Then your machine should be able to boot from the CD (provided the CD is intact).
And btw welcome to the forum!

Re: How to configure boot from CD
It appears from the BIOS screen that the system may be locked from any changes; the first picture shows "cannot be modified in user mode". This is what would normally appear if the system has an active supervisor (BIOS) password and the "Lock BIOS Settings" option "enabled". You will be able to hit the Enter key when prompted for the password and gain "read-only" access to the BIOS but not make any changes.
@jakem91: You should contact the previous owner of the system and ask what the BIOS password was set to. If they cannot provide that information then I would return the system and ask for your money back. Also, the rules of this board prohibits any public discussion on circumventing BIOS passwords.
