Answer yes or no. Please don't include the middlebutton "dead" pixel problem. Please list what model type you have.

yep, I have one in the left upper zone. Purple color, not annoying.

I've heard that there are some LCD vendors that supply utilities that let you pin-point the permanently stuck on pixels, and then "switch them off", so that instead of staring at a bright red / blue / green / etc pixel, you just flick it off and then it's just dead, making it almost totally unnoticeable.

Anybody know what I'm talking about? Or better yet where to get it?

So far, every 1 in 3 X40's on this forum have dead pixels. What's the deal here, IBM?

Well. To put it in perspective, 1 in 3 voters. I'm willing to bet ppl with dead pixels are more likely to enter the thread, and vote in the poll.

Based off of what assumption or fact? What would make people with dead pixels more likely to vote than those without?
