Portable keyboard for S10e?

#1 Post by hotspur » Thu Mar 05, 2009 1:26 pm

I love everything about this little machine except the keyboard's just a bit cramped. Despite practising, I have trouble with the right shift key. Anyone recommend a portable keyboard to take along with the S10? I saw some roll-up ones on Ebay, but I've no experience with them.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I have experienced the same challenge with the small shift key. What worked great for me, was to slow down and type very deliberately for just two days. Now I can switch between my full sized ThinkPad keyboards and my IdeaPad S10 no problem.

As far as external keyboards are concerned, Lenovo sells one that is compact, yet full size. It is the same size as the keyboard only, on a full size ThinkPad, and it also has the trackpoint. You can find it on Lenovo's site.

Cheers...

I have Apple's newest iteration of wireless keyboard and it's really rather great to type on. Reasonably small - I can measure it up if you'd like. They have the same layout in a wired version now for $30 less.

A little late, but for this purpose, nothing beats an old IBM Model M "Clicky" 84 Key Space Saver.
