Hi

Here in Athens,Greece Lenovo has a special offer :

R61 8919WB5 - C2D T8100
550 euro and 3 years!! guarantee
The model comes with :15.4 WXGA , T8100 2.1Ghz,
2Gb ,250GB and Vista basic.....
...and the infamous nvidia QUADRO NVS 140M!!!

The model 8919WB5 is not listed on ibm site...
What do you think ? Is it worth it? Any ideas why
they give 3 years guarantee?
Am I suspicious???

I checked the conversion rate and reviewed the configuration of the ThinkPad you are considering. I would say this is a very good computer and an excellent price. Lenovo typically offers a 1 year warranty standard included in the price of the computer. Then they have 2, and 3 year warranties, at an additional charge. Often they include this in the price of the computer, as is the case with the machine you are looking at. Therefore this is a very good deal. I can recommend this R61 as a good choice.

Cheers...

3 years Lenovo warranty is IMO in EU rather a standard.
