Driver/Software Help Please

Hey guys, and gals if appropriate. I have looked everywhere for drivers for this laptop. I recently installed Xp and the drivers for the video card, internet card ect werent installed. So I am unable to use it. Heres the tricky part, Its a T41 type 2373 #W5V. This # is not listed as one of the models to look for. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

2372 is an X40 system from what I can figure out. Double check the 23-- number and see if it's 2373, 2374, 2375, 2376, 2378 or 2379. You can also try this site:

by entering in the serial number on the system but it also requires the "correct" 4-digit TYPE number.

You're right... a T4x of the 2372 series I've never heard of before? To get the drivers you need, you may use ThinkVantage System Update 3.14 (note that you need Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 or later).

PS: Try go into the BIOS during startup, and see what model/type is listed there? (the first seven figures/letters listed under the "System-Unit serial number as e.g. shown in the main BIOS screen --> BIOS simulator - ThinkPad T42/p with fingerprint reader ).

Oh, well - a bit too hasty, eeh? Anyway, you may find your drivers here --> T42 series 2373 drivers - or use the Lenovo "System Update" pointed to above.

Yes, a wee bit! Thanks, but out of all those, which one would most likely suit me? Im not super computer techy. Thanks for this.

Also, how come you gave me T42 2373? I had mentioned its a T41 2373.

Just installed the framework, and am trying the system updater, RealBlack, will look at that next if no luck. Thanks

Appears system updater hasnt done anything...

And Im confused, when i click on the Drivers..Ill go to Audio or Video, and it has the current driver listed, then when you click on it..it says no downloads available?

Yes, l I see the same thing. Call Lenovo Tech Support and ask them what's going on!

Hey guys thanks alot for the help! Their site came back on and all the drivers that were missing, were finally posted and shes up and running. I appreciate the help!
