R40: what to check before restore

#1 Post by ashat » Sun Mar 08, 2009 2:18 pm

I have a R40, and I want to restore XP-Pro from the hidden service partition.

Apart from back up of my data, is there anything to check before to launch the restoring action from the Access IBM menu?
Or is there any setting in the bios that I have to check or modify before to start the process?

Since it's not possible to do the recovery cd sets for this system I would like to be sure (or almost sure) the restoring process will be successfull at the end.

None of your current Windows updates or any programs you added will be installed. It will end up exactly as it left the factory. So be prepared to do some updates and installs
