Linux and T43 fan...

#1 Post by i-SnipeZ » Mon Mar 09, 2009 8:43 am

Mandriva is making my fan rev up to near maximum just from idling and as far as the feel test says the laptop isnt hot at all, and the air coming out is luke warm. So whats the deal here? Of course, Im used to Windows 2k where the fan NEVER runs until I play a game or something.

Either it's reading the wrong temp or it's not seeing the fan (either way acpi-related). So what version of Mandriva is this?
