Screen Upgrade
Is it possible to disassemble a T60 to replace the screen with something a little bit...bigger? More pixels? Is it possible? Has anyone ever done it? Information appreciated.
Re: Screen Upgrade
yes (you can't replace a 14" screen with a 15" one, but you can exchange for a higher resolution LCD). If you search this forum, you'll find all the answers.
Re: Screen Upgrade
First, it is a good idea to provide as much relevant information as possible. What T60 are you talking about, in particular, what LCD size (14.1" 4:3, 15" 4:3, 15.4" 16:10)? What resolution do you have now?
I myself did upgrade my 14.1" T60 from its original XGA resolution (1024x768) to SXGA+ (1400x1050). Others have successfully done that too.
Upgrades are also possible in 15" 4:3 models, upto UXGA (1600x1200), haven't heard of any widescreen upgrades.
There was a thread about 14.1" UXGA upgrade recently but that's for brave ones only as it requires some H/W modifications, IBM/Lenovo never produced T60 14.1" UXGA models.

Re: Screen Upgrade
... in addition to the above, it should also be mentioned that a few very advanced ThinkPad'ers have installed QXGA LCD's on T60's (QXGA resolution = 2048×1536 !!), as discussed in e.g. the thread Installing QXGA screen on T60p.
